Hi all -nothing works for me. And i didn't have any problem with this for the last 3 months, but suddenly the problem is happening. Very strange. For both my OUtlook work email and hotmail. Emails I delete on my PC are still showing up on my phone.2 comments:1. There is no option in the android email settings to check for delete on server as noted above:menumoresettingssend&recieve and make sure the 'delete mail on server' is ticked.
THIS DOES NOT EXIST on the ActiveSync Exchange Server, only on the POP server. For the Outlook Exchange server the only options are.RECEIVE settings- Mail size limit- message format- update schedule- download past mail- include file attachment- sync when roaming (grayed out)- auto download message- folder to syncSEND settings- reply with original text- always BCC me2. For the POP server which I have hotmail connected to. It does have the option in both the SEND and the RECEIVE settings.
And both are checked ON:RECEIVE settings:-Sync deleted items from server checkRemove messages from phone when deleted on serverSEND settings:-Delete mail on server checkOnBut, I still have the SAME issue on both the outlook and hotmail accounts. Mail that I delete on my PC, is not deleted on the phone.
The phone downloads it and it remains on my phone. It shows it as bolded and unread and not deleted. Very annoying!Does anyone have any ideas for a real fix for this?
Thanks for any help! I've been using Hotmail with Exchange Active Sync very successfully for several months on my HTC Desire Z. The only shortcoming was no html.Anyway, I was prepared to live with that, specially since I could have my Hotmails & Exchange emails in the same combined Inbox. However, since last week I've also been experiencing the same sync issues mentioned in recent posts here. When I delete a Hotmail on my phone it re-appears when the next sync happens.
I have tried deleting the Hotmail account and adding it again but it makes no difference.I'm wondering did Microsoft change something when they released the New Hotmail app for Android. I hate the inbox layout & colour scheme in this new Hotmail app but have had no choice but to start using it. This also means I no longer have the combined Inbox (one of the selling points for HTC). I have a Galaxy Note 3 and I use the built-in email client, probably made by Samsung. I prefer to use Thunderbird for organizing all my emails; of course this on on a PC. I have gmail, msn (outlook), and yahoo, the king of compromised email accounts.
All software I use, all my phones, everything is set to IMAP and everything should sync from/to the server. Everything works as desired, with the exception of my MSN account. For some reason after I delete emails, whether it be from a web browser and the msn website, or thunderbird, they still appear on my phone, in the inbox, if I have ever once received the email. I have double checked all my settings. Additionally, I have been moving emails, creating folders, and all operations work and sync flawlessly among all devices; except msn still shows the 107 'read' messages in my inbox on my mobile telephone. I began the quest to find an internet solution and all I find is forum's, but its like this problem is so hard to explain to people, I don't understand why. Tina and that Bland guy seem to understand the problem, they posted about the same problem I am having, any other posts before mine that claim a solution, simply do not understand the problem.
I can delete emails using my phone and they are trash, server side too! Deleted emails from my phone sync to all devices, thank you very much, but the converse is not true. I'm not here to post a solution, but to post the same problem. I have a few insights, though. I think there is something to go on with bland's post about using POP email settings. That may solve this issue and I would only use POP and this account with my phone. But I would have to unblock POP service from my msn account settings to do this, and I don't want to, I have let POP go, I said goodbye.
So the only other insight I have is that my problem has something to do with 'Microsoft Exchange Server' and the default note 3 email client. Interestingly, I deleted all emails in my inbox on the server, then, from my phone, I moved the emails from the inbox to a separate folder, they did not appear on the server, and deleting them from my phone caused no issues; but the work involved was arduous, it took like 3 clicks, and possibly a shimmy. Forget about POP3. It is not capable of syncing folders like you want.Make sure to setup the MSN account as IMAP. If it has been entered as POP3 you must delete it and re-enter it. You cannot edit a a or change it.
I think these are the correct settings:Incoming: imap-mail.outlook.com, port 993, SSL/TLS should be checkedOutgoing: smtp-mail.outlook.com, port 587, SSL/TLS should be checkedIf it still doesn't work, try another email app. The Samsung apps are notorious for problems. AquaMail is by far my favorite. If this account is not a free account but rather a work Exchange account that requires ActiveSync you need email app that fully supports ActiveSync. For that I recommend trying Nine. I have it working now! I can delete an email in Outlook on my PC and it removes that email on my phone! Now let's see if I can help you folks to get this setup!!I have hotmail setup as IMAP in Outlook on my PC and on the phone it displays as Hotmail Microsoft Exchange.
I have Auto-sync checked with a schedule to Push and sync Inbox, Sent and Trash (used to only have Inbox). Email sync period is All (this was changed from 1 day). Not sure exactly what all these settings mean, but I can help with more info as you need it.
And it is hard to tell exactly what email app I have on my phone (no Help About!). The icon has the back of a letter with @ with yellow background and the number of new messages in upper right in an orange circle. I think it is the stock email on my LG V10.
Hope this helps others!
Thunderbird Keep Showing Deleted Emails On Windows 10
I'm running TB31.7.0 with 16 different e-mail addresses all set up as IMAP accounts.I keep getting messages that has got 3,000 new messages. Generally, the number of new messages is about the total number of emails in the inbox of the particular account. It doesn't do it for all 16 accounts every time, it is normally just 1 or 2 accounts each session. It's slowing my machine down and I'm concerned at the amount of download allowance it's taking up.How do I stop it downloading messages that are already being kept on the machine for use off line? Thanks. Do you regularly compact the message folders? Compacting is something that needs to be done regularly in any email program, particularly with POP type accounts. We recommend weekly, but many of us do it daily.
When done often enough, it can be an extremely fast process. Not doing so can lead to problems like those you are experiencing. See this about how to and why it's so important:If you haven't been doing that before, first back up your Thunderbird Profile - then compact all folders. If 'compacting' them (and leaving a long enough time for the process to complete) doesn't fully resolve the problem then do the following on each account:Close Thunderbird. Find and delete all of the files with the.msf file extension in your profile folder/Mail including your Local Folders, especially if you are using the global inbox.
You must have 'View hidden files and folders' on and you need to set 'hide extensions for known file types' off (just below View Hidden) if you are using Windows. These are your mail summary files and do not hold any messages themselves. They will be rebuilt the next time you open each folder in Thunderbird. Compact all your folders when you have completed this.To avoid this happening again, see the tips in these articles. Hi - Thanks for this.I followed the steps you outlined, down to deleting all the.msf files and then went back into TB to compact all the folders again. TB redownloaded all the contents of all the folders of all my accounts - was that supposed to happen? I also received some messages which came through as if they had been sent today, but which I had received months, if not years, ago.

I've still got to go through and compact the folders again but I'll have to wait for the downloads to finish - which might take a long time as there are several thousand messages downloading.I read through the articles. All my accounts are IMAP accounts and were all already set to Clean Up 'Expunge' Inbox on Exit and Empty Trash on Exit.I had the automatic compacting set at 20mb and have reduced that to 5mb.In the articles you highlighted, there are a number of references to moving things out of the Inbox. quote='pagallery'I'm confused about this, because the 'Inbox' contains all my subfolders,/quoteNo, that illustration you posted shows an Inbox folder but then folders like Drafts, Sent, Deleted, etc. At the same hierarchy level as the Inbox, not as sub-folders of the Inbox. All of the folders are shown as children of the parent account. You have both Junk and Spam because Thunderbird uses the term Junk and, apparently, your email provider uses a server folder named Spam. You can eliminate one of those by pointing Thunderbird to the server Spam folder in Thunderbird's or by from the server Spam folder. One possible cause for Thunderbird to download those messages may be the option to store copies of messages on the local PC for off-line access.
Do you need that functionality? If not, try switching off that option under menu path Tools-Account Settings-Synchronization & Storage. I am also having this problem, and it began for me after updating to version 31.7.0. I am running Thunderbird on Debian Wheezy Linux and using it to access my Yahoo email account with IMAP. Almost immediately after completing the update, I noticed that my entire inbox (8087 messages - yes, I know that's a lot of messages to keep in an inbox) was being downloaded. I thought it was related to the update-perhaps some new index format required a reindexing and so a redownload. But I have just noticed it's happening again as I write-Activity Manager says 'Deleted 8086 messages from inbox' about 50 minutes ago and now shows 'Bringing folder up to date Downloading xxxx of 8087 in inbox' where xxxx is incrementing as each message arrives. What is going on?
I have never noticed this before, and only updated to 31.7.0 six days ago. OK, it happened again: I was reading some web pages in Firefox, with Thunderbird open in another workspace. I had not personally interacted with Thunderbird for several hours.
Suddenly I heard hard disk activity, and checked to find that Thunderbird had deleted the messages in my inbox and was redownloading them, again. Activity Monitor reported: is up to date 03:35 PMTotal number of messages downloaded: 1Deleted 8138 messages from Inbox 03:45 PMBringing folder Inbox up to date So all was well at 3:35 PM, and then for no reason I can discern Thunderbird decided to empty the Inbox 10 minute later and redownload everything. Does anyone have any ideas about why this is happening and how to stop it? I did not see this behavior until upgrading recently to version 31.7.0.Information about my configuration (which has not changed between Thunderbird version updates):IMAP account on yahoo.comGlobal Search and Indexer enabledCompact all folders when it will save over 20 MB in totalCheck for new messages every 10 minutes hmmm. Could this have something to do with it?Keep messages for this account on this computer enabled; nearly all folders checkedSynchronize all messages locally regardless of ageDon't delete any messagesAll folders subscribed to (all folders are subfolders of account, not of Inbox)Hoping for some ideas.
Meanwhile, I've changed the 'Check for new messages' to 18 minutes; if this happens again I will see what interval (if any) between 'up to date' and 'deleting' has passed. I have the exact same problem, but only for my Yahoo mail account (IMAP). This is v 31.7.0 on Mac OSX Yosemite.Activity Monitor shows lots of messages like:Deleted 6613 messages from Inbox.Downloading x of 6613 messages from InboxThere are also many messages that say:The current operation Inbox did not succeed. The mail server for the account responded: UNAVAILABLE UID FETCH Server error while fetching messages.I recently deleted my profile and add the account again. Zenmate vpn premium crack pc. I've compacted folders too.In short, I can't use Thunderbird to access this account or it slows down my machine to the point where it's not usable.
